“YDH is a great service! I’m so glad that I decided to work with a professional on the decorating of my great room. The deluxe design package was thorough, extensive and very easy to understand. It was a complete design package: furniture placement, window treatments, paint color including trim color, art suggestions, accents etc. We even talked about lighting, color, scale, proportion and style. I learned a lot! I received wonderful blueprints via email of the different scenarios for my room. Terrie used the internet and went “shopping” for me and sent me dozens of selections to choose from using my color sheme and style. I was able to look them over and choose the perfect pieces and accents that fit my taste. Terrie and Cindy worked together to present a package with several options to choose from, that all looked great! Thea provided very complete information and measurements for her room and also included photos of her inspiration notebook so I could have a clear idea of her taste. She wanted a very formal room and was buying some new pieces but couldn’t figure out how to have a rich, Tuscan look yet incorporate the robin’s egg blue she loved. The large gilt mirror is a piece she wanted to use in the living room and, as it turned out, the dining buffet ended up in there as well since there wasn’t room in the dining room. I think it looks fabulous with the mirror over it!
The furniture layout was especially challenging for Thea because the room is quite narrow but she wanted as much seating as possible. The floor plan and inspiration board were very helpful in allowing her to visualize my suggestions.
