You can paper a room, accent wall or hallway in a fraction of the time and at a fraction of the cost of traditional wallpaper. You don’t have to be a designer or art expert either. Hand Crafted Papers and Stencils

ETSY has had a massive influence on consumer tastes and the handmade trend will continue to grow in 2012 – from a wider variety in textured quality handmade papers to hand painted stencils and designs.  Stenciling itself isn’t new, but the designs available now are amazing.  It’s an easy DIY project so you can easily be right in step with what’s current.

Wallpaper Goes 3-D

Wall coverings are literally jumping off the wall.  Designers and decor savvy homeowners are paring bold wall-scape visuals and found items to create three-dimensional designs.

Last year runway, this year hallway – metallics are coming to a wall near you in a big, bold way.  Add sheen to a bedroom or light-reflecting tones to create a sophisticated look in any dining or living room.

Use What You Have

Take a tour of your house with a fresh perspective on the random items that have the potential of making an unexpected design statement.  The photo of the bike on the wall is a great example of what is possible and unique. The more unique and personal a grouping on the wall, the better!
