Last month I wrote a post on decorative waste baskets. One of our readers responded to the post and suggested we also do shower curtains. I am so sorry I mistakenly deleted that email because the reader included a photo of her favorite shower curtain and I’d planned to share it today.
If you were the person who suggested this topic and shared your favorite shower curtain I hope you’ll leave a comment on this post and claim your fame! Thanks to you, Terrie and I are sharing out Top 10 Shower Curtains today. Thank you for the suggestion.

Rubber duckies in the bathroom are just too hard to pass up. Wouldn’t this be darling in a kids’ bathroom? It makes me smile – and I’ve seen some darling rubber duck curtain hooks that would work well with this fabric shower curtain.

From linens4less.com and priced at $12.99.
While you’re in the bathroom put your time to good use and read your shower curtain. This black and white curtain is printed with the top 500 words and definitions used on SAT tests. If your English vocabulary is large enough, you can learn another language - the curtain is also available printed in Spanish, French or German words. In addition to being fun and unusual the black and white scheme is easy to decorate around.

Make your time in the bathroom count - all these SAT words and definitions are available at Target for $20.00.
The gorgeous blue and crisp white graphic on this shower curtain would provide a simple but elegant feel to most any bathroom.

Love the graphic blue and white of this $24.99 shower curtain from beddingstyle.com.
Go a little wild with Jessica McClintock’s Zuma shower curtain. The animal print adds a bit of fun to the sophisticated color scheme.

This designer curtain is wildly elegant but only $39.00 at Overstock.com.

I love Cindy’s find of custom printing my own photo on a shower curtain…..I’ll have to give that some thought! This is a timely subject for me because I’ve been toying with the idea of changing my somewhat tropically themed 2nd bath to a graphic black and white room. Finding the perfect shower curtain is the starting point for the room I think, so I’ll see what I can find….
Nary a black or white in sight, but lots of punch. It looks like a fiesta dress; fun, flirty and colorful ($118 from Anthropologie).
I like the movement and colors in this modern shower curtain. The colors of blue and brown are popular now and this look will work in a modern bath or traditional one that you want to update.
I’m surprised that I’m having so much trouble finding a selection of black and white curtains. I thought I’d be struggling to make a choice and instead I’m struggling to find even one I like. However, I do like this one. I find I’m drawn to oversized, graphic designs and this one is airy and unusual – a possible contender.
Although it’s not black and white, it IS bold and graphic and I like that it’s not a repeating pattern like most shower curtains. I think I’m too tired of blue to really consider this one, but it is lovely and unusual so it definitely makes my top 5.
This was an interesting shopping foray for me. It was harder than I expected to find unusual shower curtains – something that would set my bathroom apart and give it design pizzazz. I’m now thinking I’ll have to make it myself….I’ll be sure to let you know if that develops.
Before The Curtain Closes…
So that’s our Top 10 – but before we close the proverbial curtain – please remember to take our survey (we know you didn’t all take it before you read the post!). Your input is very important to us and we will use it if you share it. Thank you!

Cute!
You know, right next to changing out pillows…I like changing out shower curtains….by using sheets (I’ve even used quilts in the cabin.) They are already hemmed and I just add grommets….it’s a sickness…
Using a sheet for the shower curtain is a great way to easily tie your bedroom and bathroom together. For those of you following Franki’s lead just be sure to use a curtain liner with the sheet.
