Navigational Tips
If you’re fairly new to blog surfing, here’s a quick guide on how to get the best use from our website. The articles are published daily Monday through Friday and appear in order with the most recent article first. The top of the page has a menu of pages that you’ll find interesting: About gives a little bio info about Cindy and me; Ask Us Anything explains our service policy; Shopping Savings lists our affiliates; and Bookshelf has an excellent collection of recommended decorating and design books available from Amazon.com
The right hand sidebar has a wealth of tools as described below. Many people might not make it to the bottom of the page, but there is a helpful footer down there. There are 3 categories of random articles that will help you explore the site: Most Commented articles to see what other readers have enjoyed; Random Articles that’s just that; and Recent articles in our “Miscellaneous” category of General Decorating Tips.
Comments
Every writer likes feedback on their work. Cindy and I are no exception. We love to hear from readers about what they like or don’t like. We enjoy receiving your questions, your suggestions and even when you disagree with us. We take it all to heart because we want our blog to be the best out there! The quickest way to give us feedback is to use our comment section. At the end of every article, we place our signature, then a couple of ads, then there is a gray bar with the word “Comments” on the right. Click that and write to your heart’s content in the comment box. Click submit and we’ll be reading your comments in mere moments.
Side Bar Tools
Our right hand sidebar has lots of helpful tools. Starting at the top we offer a couple different ways to subscribe – either by RSS feed or by email delivered to your inbox. (We promise to never sell or share any of your subscription info!) Subscribing will ensure you receive all our articles, painlessly and effortlessly. Just sit back and enjoy our tips, giveaways and photos.
Next down the sidebar is our Twitter button – follow us on twitter if you’re addicted and want to get daily updates from us via twitter – we certainly won’t overwhelm you with tweets!
Next we have a few ads to remind you of some of our affiliate advertisers.
We have almost a year’s worth of informative articles in our archives – so how do you find ones that fit your interests? Use the drop down menu and search our “category” tab in the sidebar for articles that have been tagged with a category you need – like ‘color’, ‘reader questions’, ‘style’, etc. It’s a quick and easy way to target a specific interest. Below that is our Archive tab. The drop down menu there let’s you search our archives by month of publication.
Toward the end of our sidebar is a Fave Design Sites listing of other home decor blogs that we’ve found and enjoy. If/when you have time, you might click through and visit them – we don’t get anything other than the pleasure of sharing a well-written site.
