Since we’re a decorating blog recipes are not part of our standard fare. But now that our trees are up and decorated, the centerpieces made, the gifts purchased and wrapped, the candles lit and the holiday music playing, we’re taking a break to make some easy last minute treats. We hope you and your family enjoy them. You might also consider making extra and packaging some to use as last minute gifts.
TERRIE’S FAVORITE FUDGE
My mom made THE best fudge. Though I’m not much of a candy person, I always made an exception for this fudge. Unlike most fudge that is dense and cut into squares, this is pure decadent guilty pleasure in a spoon drop. It melts in your mouth and is irresistible. I guarantee it will become your holiday favorite treat too!
CINDY’S CARROT PINEAPPLE BREAD
When Terrie and I were planing this detour from decorating and talking about sharing recipes today, she emailed me saying “My fave recipe of yours that you gave me and I still use is the carrot pineapple bread – I love that!” I decided if Terrie still loved this recipe and thought it was a blue ribbon winner decades later – then you might enjoy it too. I hope so!
