I LOVE painted ceilings…it is after all, the fifth wall. Having “interest” in the ceiling keeps it interesting. It isn’t just paint, I like coffered with paint highlights, the pale blue ceiling is almost ethereal, etc. franki

Thanks for the input Franki – I’ve often thought about painting my ceilings but it just seems like too much work and I don’t want the neck ‘crick’. But your enthusiasm may get me off the fence.

I agree with you, Franki. I think white ceilings look like somebody’s hung a white sheet on the ceiling and my eyes go right up to it instead of taking in the room. The ceiling should be part of the design of the room – not just a white zone unless it’s by design, not default.
