No matter how early you start preparing it always seems like the holidays descend before everything is ready.  If work, kids, health, shopping, cooking or other obligations pushed holiday decorating to the bottom of your “to do” list – don’t worry.  These last minute decorating tips will help make things merry in no time!

Branch Out

No time, money or space for a Christmas tree?  No worries – use bare branches instead of an evergreen tree!

Place bare branches in an interesting pot or container, hang simple ornaments and you’ve got yourself a Christmas tree – quickly and inexpensively.

Have a Ball

If you’ve got lots of ornaments and no tree to hang them on, use them to deck the halls!

Cluster ornaments in an interesting container – a cloche, glass vases, a basket or a bucket does the trick.  Elevate them on candlesticks or scatter them on the base of your indoor plants.

Looking Up

If you’ve got a chandelier, use it as part of your holiday decor.

Hang simple streamers of holiday ribbon from your chandelier for a festive touch, tie tree ornaments  to the chandelier for some overhead glitz or snowflakes for winter fun.

Holiday Worthy Table

Add metallic touches to your dining table for holiday flair without special holiday decor.

Reflecting on the Holidays

Use a mirror or window to express your holiday sentiments.  Simply use glass paint (available at craft stores) to write your message or draw a picture.
