		<description>No, there&#039;s no rule about where to put the drapery rod.  The &#039;normal&#039; height of most ready made curtains is designed to be just above a window frame.  Most windows have 18-24&quot; between the top of the window frame and the 8&#039; ceiling.  I also love the elegant and lush look of extra long draperies going to the ceiling but you&#039;ll likely have to do some customizing to get the length right.

I like the look of drapes going to the ceiling and touching the floor but in my sewing room there is a space of 2 ft. from the top of window and edge of the ceiling. Is there a rule about how high I should hang the drapes in comparison to the window. Thanks Sarcie</description>
