Even though there is no redeeming instructional value in these posts, I enjoy them because they make me smile.  Some of the things designers come up with are just SO weird………..

Knit one, purl one….

The Miss Rio ottoman made from recycled flip flops – certainly a unique way to reuse / recyle.

I’ve seen rugs used as wall art but never to face a piece of furniture.  There’s a first time for everything, I guess.

A bright bench to make you smile while waiting for a bus or grimace because it’s so bright?

Everyone needs a table that looks like melting sherbet.  Don’t we?

A plastic chair designed by Tom Price.  Doesn’t seem very kid friendly … or maybe TOO kid friendly!

The Vector chair designed by Andy Gregg – my husband is a biker so this one caught my eye.  I guess it gets some marks for being “green” and being unusual….

If a chair doesn’t interest you, how about a table?  Actually I could see possibly using one of the tables for a touch of whimsy.

This “flying carpet” sofa is another use of a rug that I’d not considered (much like the sideboard above).  Aside from the oddness of the design, it doesn’t look well proportioned – much too deep.

Found this on Mogg Blog - if you haven’t discovered this blog, you need to check it out for your daily dose of humor.  They poke wicked fun at the oddities of design and are much funnier than me.  Their comment on this one:  “Even the couch knows it’s awful. That’s why it threw up on itself.”

Oh my goodness!

Last, but not least…..I already have a cat that sheds everywhere, I don’t need a chair that sheds too!
