Easter Decor
If you’re a regular reader you know I love decorating for holidays – guess I’m a kid at heart. Yesterday I shared my Bunny Breakfast tablescape with you. Today I’m sharing a peek at my Easter decorations. Decorating used to be a lot more elaborate when my kids were small – I’ve learned to refrain myself some so I guess we’ve grown up together!
We welcome guests with an Easter tree display on the entry hall table. I used to make my husband bring in a 5 or 6 foot branch each year and we would put it up like a Christmas tree and cover it with blown-out eggs the family decorated. This smaller tree continues that tradition but relieves my husband from the task of scavenging for a giant branch each spring.

Small wooden ornaments hung from a wire tree dress the entry table.

Painted metal eggs and little bunnies play at the base of the tree.
Two glass apothecary jars on the living room coffee table hold some of the blown-out eggs my boys decorated years ago for our big Easter tree.

Egg filled glass jars and two musical egg globes highlight the living room coffee table.

Look closely and you'll see the hanging cords on some eggs and the date the egg was decorated is written on others.

Some but not all of the eggs survived the passing years.
Another family decorating tradition is setting up an Easter village. The village is a blend of Dept. 56 designs and lighted ceramic pieces purchased years ago at JoAnn’s.

The village and an Easter basket.

Somebunny's getting married.

Stop by the bank to withdraw a few carrots.

Treat yourself to some carrot cake at the cafe.

Enjoy the spring blossoms.

Take a break and relax in the shade with your hunny bunny.

Have a Hoppy Easter!
What About You?
How do you celebrate spring or Easter? Do you have special decorations or rituals? Are you able to enjoy outdoor egg hunts or meals where you live or is your home town still cold or wet like the Pacific Northwest where I live? I’d like to hear what you’ve got planned (leave a note by clicking on the “Comment” like just below the ads at the end of this article) or email me photos so I can see what you’re up to (send them to solutions@yourdecoratinghotline.com ). I’m sharing this Easter inspiration at The Inspired Room today.
Have a Hoppy Easter!
