As you all know, Cindy and I offer free advice, solutions, suggestions or resource referral when you write us with questions about any home decorating dilemma you might have.  And we get lots of questions from all over the world ranging from help with color selection to furniture placement in oddly shaped rooms to when is it okay to mix metals in a room. 

As we’ve watched the volume of questions increase, we noticed that many of you need/want more assistance than just a quick answer to a single question.  We came up with our own solution to that dilemma.

Personalized Consultations

When the dilemma you have is complex or multi-faceted and can’t be answered with a few paragraphs, we offer a way for you to get a more detailed response.  The process is easy.  When you select the level of assistance you want, we’ll email you a short questionnaire to help identify your needs as well as some of your decorating preferences.  This is where you get to share in as much detail as you can what is bothering you about your room and what you can’t resolve.  When we get the questionnaire, we’ll get to work.  Within a couple of weeks (depending upon the timing and volume of consults ahead of you), you’ll receive your completed consultation with our recommendations and solutions for your dilemmas.

We offer 3 options for you:

Color is a big obstacle for many readers, conjuring up all sorts of insecurities and generating extra decorating expense due to wrong or dissatisfying choices.  We’ll provide you with the color information you need.   Color consultations are $30.

For about the price of a gallon of paint you receive:  

  • Specific paint color (manufacturer, color name and number) recommendations for one specific room or project (as outlined in your completed questionnaire)
  • Guidelines on how to use color to create a cohesive look
  • Information on how to successfully work with undertones
  • Tips on how to pull your room together using color

The Basic Design Package ($80) includes everything in the $30 color consult PLUS you’ll also receive:

  • Floor plan to scale addressing your concerns (if needed)
  • Inspiration board integrating items you want to keep as well as suggested items to complete the room to include seating/bed, window coverings, lighting, accessories/art, and side tables
  • A list of inspiration board resources

    • The Premiere Design Package ($120) includes everything in the $80 Basic Package (see above), PLUS you’ll also receive:

    • Two personal phone calls: one to discuss your project needs and clarify information on your questionnaire and one following delivery of your design package so you may ask questions and clarify our design guidance.
    • Inspiration board integrating items you want to keep as well as suggested items to complete the room:  multiple options of seating/bed, window coverings, lighting, accessories/art, side tables, flooring, pillows, etc.
    • An elevation showing a suggested art placement or the problem wall of your choice
    • A complete shopping list of all items used in the inspiration board with web addresses/links and prices
