Now that fall is truly underway in most parts of the country, we find ourselves welcoming a color into our home that isn’t usually seen … orange. Often orange is seen as a seasonal color because it’s so strongly connected with fall and Halloween and Thanksgiving. However, it can work very well in homes that want a splash of an unexpected color.
Fall Inspiration
First a few fall photos to get your inspired – for the season and for considering using the color in your every day decor.
This 900 pound pumpkin dominates this display but in terms of color, look how the addition of the bright purple to the oranges and greens really adds a spark that makes all the colors look better.
Orange in Home Decor
A bright focal wall in an otherwise neutral space certainly allows the orange to dominate. The accent chair in the living room brings the color forward so the wall isn’t the only spot of orange.
A little pop of orange can make a big impact. It is the complement of blue so is at its most vibrant when used with blue – small touches go a long way.

Coral is a very liveable shade and has all the warmth of orange but without the dominance. Here it’s paired with gray and white for a sophisticated color scheme.
Natural Decor
Celebrate fall by using branches, flowers, leaves, rocks around your home.

Love orange myself, this color gives “umph” to any palette. Nice photos with a balanced palette of oranges and neutrals, great examples of its use. Love the carving patterns on the pumpkins-never seen pumpkins look so good. Publisher,familyfirepit.com
