We have new hardwood floors and new furniture in our living room and i can’t seem to ‘make the room work’…? We have rearanged several time…..just can’t figure it out!
The room has 2 walls (about 17 ‘ x 12 ‘), third wall has large bay window, and other side is wide open / front door entrance….
We have couch, loveseat, leather chair…one round end table …trying to remain clutter free….got rid of the coffee table, do have a tall curio cabinet along the long wall also…..Suggestions for placing furniture so that the couch is opposite the TV without making the room lopsided?
That’s definitely a problem lots of folks have – a long room. I need a little more information to give you the best ideas. Does your TV have to go along a specific wall and is it in an armoire, or just on a stand? Do I understand correctly that the 2 long uninterrupted walls face each other and the bay window faces the front door? Are there any windows other than the bay window? How big is your curio cabinet; narrow like a bookcase or more like a buffet? Do you have a separate dining room? Thanks for the answers – I’ll offer some solutions when I hear from you! Terrie
